Very cool shot. I hope it means spring is about to turn the corner. The ground hog saw his shadow so supposedly it won't be here for a few more weeks... I need more sun.
Thank you! I tend to not use the macro settings the cam has and instead set the aperture/shutter speed myself. That way you can get decent close-ups without a macro lens. That and a semi-steady hand... ;)
I'm none too good when it comes to a steady hand myself. Love me tripod. But they're really not that expensive. Got a decent one for 20 Euros... Worth the money, since I love night shots.
I need to find one. I'm taking more pics of the models and squatting or sitting and trying to stay steady is hard. I really need to hit a camera store.
I think they have some pretty good and not too expensive ones on amazon, for example. If your models are on a table, there's some seriously cheapo small ones. Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/SunPak-Sunpak-620-786-Mini-Spider-Tripod/dp/B00009W3TY/ref=pd_sim_e_6

What does the stupid groundhog know ; )
Fingers crossed!
And thanks!
Man, you can see the little hairs on the pistol!
How do you get such great close-ups like that without blur?
Thank you!

Steady hand! You da bomb. I'm bad about shake and crap like that, I really do need a tripod. Kind of a pain to lug one around though... :-\
